The Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has pledged that a future government led by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will make Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) more appealing to every Ghanaian child by equipping it with modern, innovative tools.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh made this commitment during the official investiture of Dr. James Condua Lindsey Orleans as the first Chancellor of Cape Coast Technical University.
He emphasized that the NPP has already made significant investments to revitalize technical institutions, highlighting the transformative impact of technical education on individuals and communities.
Drawing from his experience as a former Minister for Education, Dr. Opoku Prempeh stressed the importance of strengthening technical institutions to better train Ghanaian youth, affirming that under Dr. Bawumia’s leadership, TVET institutions will become places that inspire every young Ghanaian.
Additionally, Dr. Opoku Prempeh commended Dr. Orleans Lindsey’s business acumen, particularly in real estate, expressing confidence that his leadership would drive Cape Coast Technical University toward positive transformation.
