Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, addressing a delegation from the European Union at the Presidency, assured the European delegation of a more stronger and united Ghana after the 2020 general election.

The Vice President emphasised the government’s commitment to ensuring a peaceful and transparent election to maintain Ghana’s title as the ‘Beacon of Peace, Stability and Democracy’ on the continent.
“We will work very hard to ensure elections occur in an atmosphere of peace and transparency, so that Ghana maintains the peace and stability it’s currently enjoying,” he said.

“History shows that no matter how contentious the elections are, Ghanaians are peaceful and if there are disagreements the courts are available for redress,” he added.
