Bawumia pledges effective collaboration with Ga Mantse to tackle challenges

Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has pledged to work closely with the Ga Mantse to address the numerous challenges facing the Ga state if he is elected president.

Dr. Bawumia paid a courtesy call on the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, at his palace to deliberate on matters affecting the Ga state and its inhabitants.

Key among these issues were land disputes, job creation, and improving the study of the Ga language in schools.

In his address, Dr. Bawumia observed that because the nation’s capital is situated within the Ga state, many people have migrated from their towns and villages in search of better opportunities. He explained that this has contributed to the land issues within the state.

He also highlighted the need to create more job opportunities for the youth who have moved to Accra in search of better prospects.

The NPP flagbearer declared his willingness to tackle these challenges by working closely with the Ga Mantse to find solutions.

The Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, praised Dr. Bawumia for including the issues of the Ga state in his bold solutions agenda. He urged him to ensure that the people of Ga are not left behind if the Ghanaian people give him their mandate.

He also pointed out the decline of the Ga language and the limited opportunities for the youth. “Ga must be actively taught in schools to safeguard it from extinction,” he urged.

Addressing concerns over job creation and education, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II added, “Opportunities in schools and employment for young people in the Ga state must expand.”

“I pledge to work collaboratively with the Ga state to resolve longstanding land disputes and other developmental challenges in a way that benefits the people,” he said.

Dr. Bawumia assured the Ga Mantse that these issues would be prioritized under his leadership, reaffirming his commitment to promoting equitable development and cultural preservation.
