Vice Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has lauded the credibility of his flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Napo as he is popularly known described Dr Bawumia as a man of decency and character who will lead Ghana well.
He was speaking at the Big Walk event organised by the Bantama Constituency in the Ashanti region.
The walk brought together Ministers of state, Deputy Ministers, Members of parliament (MPs) and NPP parliamentary candidates within and outside Ashanti Region.
According to Napo, former President John Mahama cannot in any way be compared to Dr. Bawumia in terms of character and decency.
He said that Dr. Bawumia is not corrupt, he does not drink and has never been investigated in any corruption related scandal.
This, he said, makes him the most qualified individual to be President at this time.
Greater Accra Regional Minister, Daniel Nii Kwartey Titus Glover said Mr Mahama’s pledge to pay for the fees of level 100 tertiary students is a scam.
He said that someone who challenged the feasibility of the Free SHS policy does not have the ability to implement such a policy
The Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor also noted that, the running mates of the two parties have served in government before and they both have served as Ministers of Education and their track records are clear comparatively as to who should be voted to serve on December 7.
