President Nana Akufo-Addo is urging Ghanaians to vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to continue the government’s development agenda.
Describing Dr. Bawumia as a very honest, patriotic, and hardworking person, Akufo-Addo, who was on the ‘Farewell Tour‘ in the Ahafo region, explained that he wants to hand over the mantle to a selfless leader who can move Ghana forward.
With less than three months left in office, the President stated that most of the time, Dr. Bawumia and he are the last to leave Jubilee House, which he sees as a testament to Bawumia’s commitment to the country’s development.
“As I leave office, I plead with Ghanaians to vote for Dr. Bawumia. If there is any person who can testify about Bawumia, it is Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and I can best do so,” he said. “I will not leave Ghana in the hands of someone who cannot do the work. God will not even allow me to do that,” he emphasized.
He stated that Dr. Bawumia epitomizes a flawless personality, adding, “It is not everyone you work with that you can bear this testimony, but I say that Bawumia is a very honest, patriotic, and hardworking person.
“Sometimes, at the Jubilee House, around 12 midnight to 2 AM, Dr. Bawumia’s office and mine will still be open, ensuring the work is done. So I plead with Ghanaians, if you need a President who will serve you better, it is Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia,” he concluded.
