First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo has called on voters in the Odododiodoo constituency to support Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the upcoming presidential election on December 7.
Addressing party supporters during a campaign stop at Agbogbloshie in Accra, Mrs. Akufo-Addo highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s capability to build on the achievements of her husband, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
She underscored the importance of sustaining key policies like the Free Senior High School programme, describing it as one of the administration’s most impactful initiatives.
According to her, Dr. Bawumia is the best candidate to preserve and expand such policies for the benefit of all Ghanaians.
“President Akufo-Addo introduced the Free SHS policy amidst skepticism, and it has been successfully implemented over the past eight years. The only person capable of continuing this legacy is Dr. Bawumia. We know the roots of the policy, and it is only the NPP that can ensure its sustainability,” she stated.
Mrs. Akufo-Addo lauded Dr. Bawumia’s leadership qualities, emphasizing his intelligence, vision, and proven expertise in economic management.
She believes these attributes make him uniquely qualified to lead Ghana toward sustained growth and prosperity.
“Dr. Bawumia is God’s gift to Ghana—his economic acumen and track record are unmatched. He is the leader who can secure Ghana’s progress. Let us not be deceived into changing the NPP government. We must vote for continuity for the betterment of Ghana,” she urged.
