Veteran football manager, Bashir Hayford, has been appointed the head coach of the senior female national team, Black Queens, according to media reports.
The former Asante Kotoko trainer is already at post at the Ghanaman Soccer School of Excellence in Prampram, preparing them for the upcoming African Women Nations Cup which will be hosted by Ghana later in November.
Interim head coach Mercy Tagoe, who guided the team to win the 2018 WAFU Zone B Cup following the departure of Didi Dramani, reverts to her role as the deputy trainer.
The 2014 Black Princesses manager will, however, continue in his role as the head coach of Zylofon Cash League side Ebusua Dwarfs.
