Leader of the Democracy Hub, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, has refuted claims made by the Ghana Police Service that he is absconding, following reports that the police are on a manhunt for him.
In a public statement, Barker-Vormawor expressed surprise at the police’s assertions, calling them “baseless and misleading.”
He noted that, he has maintained consistent communication with senior police officers about his whereabouts and availability.
Barker-Vormawor revealed that his legal team has been instructed to engage with the police to clarify which station or office he should report to.
He noted that, he is committed to the rule of law and assured the public of his willingness to cooperate with the authorities.
He further expressed hope that this clarification would prevent any further attempts to mislead the public or distort the situation.
