The Paramount Chief of the Avenor Traditional Council and also a member of the National House of Chiefs, Togbega Doglo Anumah VI, has called for unity to promote peace and progress.

According to Togbega Anumah VI, the Avenor Traditional Council believes in friendship and progress regardless of ethnic background, aiming to cultivate and improve the development of the area.

“I believe in unity and togetherness, and no community or traditional area can grow or develop without unity. Therefore, let us come together and build the Avenor we want,” he said.

The chief made this statement while speaking at this year’s Tutudoza Festival, held at Akatsi South, under the theme: “Fostering Peace and Unity for Sustainable Development.”

He seized the opportunity to urge all political parties in the area to engage in a clean campaign, devoid of insults and defamatory comments, to avoid any unforeseen chaos in the upcoming December 7th polls.

He also appealed to all eligible voters to vote wisely, without any intimidation or influence from any political party, and urged the Electoral Commission to act without fear or favor when announcing the winner of the contest.

The chief also advised the security agencies to be up to the task of maintaining the peace enjoyed by Ghanaians and protecting the sovereignty of the state.
