The headmistress of Serwaa Kese Girls Senior High School (SHS) in Tano North of the Brong Ahafo Region has been interdicted for charging unapproved fees.
A deputy Education Minister, Alex Kyeremeh, who confirmed the news on Adom News, said Mrs Doris Kobina was interdicted after the Ministry of Education’s investigation established that she charged unapproved fees.
According to him, the Ghana Education Service directed that the headmistress is investigated after the news broke out, was found guilty and will be duly punished if she is found guilty.
Hon. Alex Kyeremeh bemoaned how heads of various SHS schools across the country have deployed new means of selling goods to students and in a bid take huge sum of monies from them.
But he has warned heads involved in such acts to desist from it.
