The Ghana Police Service have beefed up surveillance in all regions following the arrest of persons found with explosives by the Odorkor Police last Monday.

The 3 persons arrested are aiding the Police in investigations even though their nationalities are yet to be revealed.

At a press briefing addressed by the Inspector General of Police, he urged all to be calm as they try to unearth those behind the grenade while ruling out terrorism for now.
He assured citizens of their safety as it commences investigations into how three Ghanaians, including an ISIS recruit, smuggled grenades and other ammunitions into the country from Libya.
“Police is investigating the matter in connection with the relevant agencies, therefore we ask the public to remain calm,” he said.
