The services of retired Supreme Court judge, Justice William Atuguba, is in high demand following the gargantuan defeat of popular aspiring Assemblyman, Nana Adabor Ibrahim Issah Ampim, popularly known as Hon. Aponkye.

The failed Assemblyman for Adukrom Nima electoral area in the Ashanti region has threatened to challenge the results of Tuesday’s polls at the Supreme Court.

According to results declared by the Electoral Commission officials for the area, Aponkye polled only 234 votes against the winner, Abdul Rashid, who polled 1,056 votes.

But Hon. Aponkye said the ballots tallied by his polling agents were different from what the election officials released after the ballots from all 17 polling stations.

He claimed per their collation, he won 12 out of the 17 polling stations, thus, finds it strange his opponent rather won the election.

“They changed the figures but I was leading that is why I was jubilating. The only person who will help me win the case at the Supreme Court is Justice Atuguba,” he said.

Hon. Aponkye said they are making frantic efforts to reach Justice Atuguba to take up the case.
