Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central Constituency, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong says the existence of members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in national security is a threat to the country’s security.
“Ghana’s security is very weak. I think it is weak because these NDC members are still at post. When you go to the Airport, you still see Oti Bless Company managing the Airport. When I begin to talk, then they say I’m insulting Kan Dapaah, I am not. The activities of NDC members at the national security are not something to write home about,” he said.
The maverick lawmaker last week said he would work to ensure that qualified members of the party’s vigilante groups are enlisted into the national security.
Speaking on Adom TV’s Morning Show “Badwam” Tuesday, Mr Agyapong said the security services are not discharging their work well because they are being manipulated by some security heads.
This he said is casting a slur on the image of the security agencies as an institution.
