Member of Parliament for Tamale North, Alhassan Suhuyini, is wondering how the Special Prosecutor, Martin Alamisi Burnes Kaiser Amidu was celebrated and held in high esteem to the extent of even qualifying to be appointed as Special Prosecutor.
The legislator is questioning the SP’s basis for punishing some of his staff for alleged leakage of documents when he became a citizen vigilante based on leaks.

“How did Amidu become Citizen Vigilante himself and to be celebrated and held in high esteem. Was it not because he placed a lot of premium on leaks so why is he punishing people for leaks today. Isn’t that ridiculous,” he quizzed on Joy News’ morning show the “AM Show” Wednesday.
On Monday, Joy News reported that some staff of the anti-corruption office have been indicted for allegedly stealing fuel.

On Tuesday, the OSP was also in the news for indefinitely suspending one of his staff, PW/D. Sgt. Yaa Boakyewaa on allegations of insubordination and leaking of documents.
Mr Amidu is said to have described the police officer as “unfit for his office” and wants action taken against her after he had discovered that she had in the past been involved in a sex tape controversy.
But Mr Suhuyini, who says he feels vindicated when he hears of the recent reports at the office wants to know the evidence which suggests that the officer Mr Amidu has suspended is the one who leaked the said document.

“I feel vindicated when I hear reports about the operations of the OSP, I don’t feel excited about it. What is the evidence really that this lady is responsible for the leaks? Her name is out there, her reputation would be injured. I think that the office is becoming a joke,” he said.
