Father of late Major Maxwell Mahama, Captain Dennis Mahama (Rtd), is still praying for justice in the murder of his son, a year after his murder.
So far about 13 people are standing trial for the Major’s death while seven others are still at large.
It is on the back of this that Captain Mahama (RTD) says the family is praying for justice.

Speaking with journalists after the laying of wreaths on his grave Tuesday, Captain Mahama (RTD) said though it has been a year since the incident happened, the family is yet to come to terms with his son’s death.
The town of Denkyira-Obuasi gained infamy, following the killing, with many noting the town as having a history of violence.
Major Mahama was an officer with the 5th Infantry Battalion and was on active duty in the area.

He was said to have been on his daily jogging routine when a mob attacked him.
Today [Tuesday], the Ghana Armed Forces and the family of the late soldier will cut the sod for the construction of a memorial at the Airport Hills Roundabout in Accra Region.
This would be in line with a request from the family of the late military officer.
