Contrary to claims that the former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is a rich man, his wife says the situation is the opposite.
Christine-Marie Nyantakyi said her husband who was the longest-serving GFA President and worked with FIFA and CAF does not have money.

“If someone has money, you can judge by the kind of house they live in and the kind of car they drive. People should take time and come and see where we live, if my husband has the kind of money, we wouldn’t be living there,” she stressed.
In an exclusive interview on Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana programme Tuesday, the distraught wife of the former GFA President said the portrayal of Mr Nyantakyi as a rich man is borne out of malice.

Even the house they live in now, she said the former GFA boss built with money from his law firm.
“My husband has been a lawyer so that house that Kwesi has is his personal money he used to build,” she stated.

On how they intend to survive now that her husband is jobless, Mrs Nyantakyi said: “God will provide”.
