A team member of the Katanga Alumni, Nana Adjei, on Asempa FM’s Eksoii Sen Tuesday said Professor Danso is only intimidating the students in pursuit of his self-interested agenda.

“Authorities under the leadership of the Vice Chancellor are only using force to control the students. The Vice-chancellor and his team have no regard for the students because they treat them as class one pupils. I think it’s just a personal agenda to teach the students a lesson,” he said.

Hundreds of students of the University took to campus to demonstrate against alleged brutalities of students by the university’s internal security.

The peaceful protest turned violent when the student destroyed several public and private properties.

The school has currently been closed down after the riot.

But members of the Katanga Alumni believe the Vice Chancellor has failed to show leadership.

According to them, the development has rather exposed the incompetence of the VC and the management of the school.

They are, therefore, calling on the Education Minister to immediately take steps to resolve the issue.
