The Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has vowed to expose the Chairperson of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Ms Josephine Nkrumah and her team for calling for the disbandment of New Patriotic Party’s (NPP’s) vigilante group, the Delta Force.
The maverick politician is of the view that the groups deserve to exist because they have so far proven that they are very loyal to the NPP.

“The NCCE headed by Ms Josephine Nkrumah should just shut up already. I expect every other organisation to criticise Delta Force and other vigilante groups and not NCCE and I won’t say anything. I will be forced to bring out their dossier and expose them. What have they done to improve critical issues in the country, nothing, but they are always quick to jump into conclusion. They are a disservice to the nation.
“I support Delta Force, I support Invisible Force because they saved our lives, I will never forget 2008 and I will not forget 2012…,” he said on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Tuesday.
His comments come after NCCE called on the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) to, as a matter of urgency; disband all political party vigilante groups in the country.
The call by the NCCE comes on the heels of an attack by the NPP vigilante group, the Delta Force, on the MP for the Tafo Pankrono Constituency, Dr Anthony Akoto Osei during a meeting with members and executives of his constituency.

The meeting was disrupted by Delta Force vigilantes, whose acts, the NCCE said, threatened the MP and party executive present, adding that “Delta Force hoodlums have become notorious for the use of force and violence and total disregard for law and order.”
But the outspoken MP, accusing the NCCE of being in bed with the opposition NDC asked that the organisation be scrapped completely since they have been rendered useless ever since the NPP came to power.

“NCCE should rather be scrapped completely because I don’t see their use in this country,” he noted.
Ken Agyapong insists he trusts the vigilantes, compared to other security persons in the country.
