Mr Hammond said he has no intention of hanging his boots now having served the constituency with diligence for the past 20 years.

Adomonline.com broke the news when the outspoken MP returned his uncompleted nomination forms with no reason.

It follows the decision by a 52-year-old Chartered Accountant, Sammy Binfo Darkwa, to also contest the seat. Many party members mocked the incumbent MP as being a coward when he returned the forms.

But Mr Hammond in an exclusive interview with Joy News’ Joseph Opoku Gakpo said he will contest the position for the 6th term.

He explained that, he returned the forms because the constituency chairman, Kwame Owusu, who sold the forms to him, cannot be trusted.

Mr Hammond, however, said he bought a new form, filled it and is ready to beat his challenger.
