Managing Editor of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul-Malik Kweku Baako Jnr has challenged former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kwesi Nyantakyi paid to name those who collected a $100,000-bribe he claims to have offered.
Mr Baako Jnr’s challenge comes on the back of a recent interview granted by Mrs Nyantakyi in which she claimed that some persons approached them with the demand that they pay $150,000 for the Anas Number 12 expose to be tossed.

Christine-Marie Nyantakyi told Metro TV’s ‘Good Evening Ghana (GEG)’ show that before the screening of “Number 12,” some persons approached them with the demand to pay $150,000 for the film to be tossed.
She added that Mr Nyantakyi could not afford the figure so paid a bargain $50,000 less to the persons they believed to be from the camp of the undercover journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Tiger Eye PI team.
Speaking to Paul Adom Otchere on the GEG show, Mrs Nyantakyi revealed that the money her husband paid to stop the airing of the documentary has since been refunded.
“They proposed $150,000, [but] my husband couldn’t afford it, so he gave out $100,000 and they came back to him and said the person says you need to add $50,000, and he said well, I don’t have it; that’s all that I have…
They brought $40,000 first; and then, later on, they brought $60,000 dollars,” she said.

But the allegations by Mrs Marie Nyantakyi have been debunked by the Ace journalist.
“The man [Anas] has given you a near fatal blow and you are down and you and your wife are protecting him, this is the time to deliver a counter blow. Say yes, Anas or so and so person close to Anas was sent by Anas to come and collect this money in order not to show. Come on, have the courage.
“I know they can’t do that because it didn’t happen. Anas didn’t send anybody, anytime, anywhere to go and ask for any money from Kwesi Nyantakyi. It didn’t happen, never! [But ] they go around telling lies and you bring this beautiful lady to come to say those things on TV” he said on Accra-based Metro TV morning show Thursday as monitored by Adomonline.com.

Mr Baako believes Christine-Marie Nyantakyi did not mention names because she was avoiding the legal battles.
“They took the money and brought it back in tranches, why, because Anas has not asked any money from anybody and so if someone else collected the money, she should tell us.
Mr Baako thinks Mrs Nyantakyi has failed to mention names is to avoid any legal backlash.
Asked if indeed the wife of Nyantakyi lied on national TV, the Managing Editor said “She lied, if she indeed said it was Anas, but she didn’t tell us it was Anas. If she was telling the truth and meant business, she won’t even talk. Your man is down, in fact, this is not a joke”.
