Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has revealed plans by the government to launch an online platform on which Ghanaians can engage and transact business with all State institutions.

 He made this known on Wednesday, January 8 while speaking at this year’s ‘Performance Contract Signing Ceremony’ held in Accra.
The online portal known, as the ‘Ghana.gov platform’, will host all State institutions and provide an avenue for Ghanaians to access services provided by all State institutions without physical human contact. Â

Speaking further on the new initiative by the government, Dr Bawumia, urged all State enterprises to embrace and make use of the platform when launched. Â
According to him, the online platform will promote efficiency in service delivery of State institutions and ultimately help realise government’s ambitious agenda of digitising Ghana.

The ‘Ghana.gov platform’ will be launched by the end of the first quarter of 2020 by the Ministry of Finance.
