Audio: Gold dealer killed by armed robbers at Bole Bamboi

A 45-year-old gold dealer, whose name was given as Mohammed has been killed after two men disguised as businessmen hit his head with a metal at Fumboi a village near Tingna in the Bole – Bamboi district of the Northern region.
According to an eyewitness report, the two robbers were invited into Mohammed’s residence at around 8pm to buy gold.
After transacting business, they hit Mohammed’s head with a metal weapon which rendered him unconscious and after made away with his valuables.
However, luck eluded them when an unknown man entered the room and realized they were armed robbers who had killed the gold dealer in cold blood.
However, the man who bolted in during the robbery attack was also stabbed in the thigh and rib when he struggled with one of the robbers whose name was given as Amidu Madiga.
Some of the residents who heard the scream arrived at the scene late but managed to alert the Bole-Bamboi police to arrest one of the robbers who was left behind.
“It happened around 8-9pm. They were two robbers. They went there that they wanted to buy gold. They shut the door and hit his head hit a metal. They were in a hurry but another buyer was also coming through he knocked…”
“And one of the ran away but he held the other one tight hoping to scream for help but the other robber stabbed him in the thigh and rib. He screamed and people came in. One has been caught…”
The District police commander ASP David Azuma who confirmed the incident said the suspect is in their custody.
He said his outfit will soon release a statement on the matter.
