Audio: Girl, 13, gives emotional account of how Kasoa policemen were shot dead

A 13-year-old girl, who witnessed the shooting of the two policemen at Kasoa Budumburam on Wednesday, in an interview with Joy News has narrated how one of the policemen was gruesomely killed.

According to the girl, who could not control her tears, one of the policemen rushed into their shop near the crime scene with a gunshot wound in his head.

“We were three in our shop around 1: 00pm and a blue private car and a police car stopped in front of our shop and as interrogation was ongoing, one of the policemen got out of the car and slapped the driver of the Camry.

“After the slap, he told the officer he was taking money from his car but pulled a gun and shot the policeman in his head. With blood oozing from his mouth, he run into the shop to seek refuge and told us to hide but the man followed him and threw out a little boy who was inside the shop and shot him in his eye leading to his death,” she recounted.

Two policemen, Sergeant Dwamesi and Lance Corporal Awal Mohammed with the Kasoa Divisional Command of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department of the Ghana Police Service were on Wednesday afternoon killed by armed men at Kasoa Budumburam.

Three suspects have so far been arrested in connection with the killings.
