General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, says the dismissal of Minister of Energy, Boakye Agyarko, constitute bias and sends strong signals that he may have been used as a scapegoat.
He said the President should apologise to Ghanaians for what he describes as overseeing the ‘mess’.
“Yes Akufo-Addo has sacked Agyarko but I think he is only using Agyarko as a scapegoat because he is the Minister; I think we should blame the President for all these mess because he allowed it to happen,” he said.
The energy minister was sacked over the controversial Novation and amendment AMERI deal.
