Attacks on police: Interior Ministry assures Ghanaians of their safety

The Interior Ministry has assured Ghanaians of their safety in the face of the recent attack on police officers at Kwabenya which has claimed the life of one officer.
According to the Deputy Minister of Interior, Mr. Henry Quartey, the Ministry and all other security agencies have put measures in place to ensure the safety of Ghanaians.
“We condemn in no uncertain terms this incident. I want to assure Ghanaians that the ministry of the Interior, the Ghana Police Service and the security apparatus are working very hard, and any attempts to suggest that the security of this country is broken down is not true.” he said in an interview with Kofi Adoma Nwanwani on Adom FM’s Morning Show “Dwaso Nsem”

He further gave the assurance that the perpetrators of the attack will be brought to book no matter what it takes.

The Deputy Minister of Interior therefore called on the media and the public to provide the police with information to enhance their investigation.
He stated that when the citizenry supports the police with the right information, the work of the police – the protection of lives and properties will progress and add up to the peace the country is witnessing.
