Atta Mills’ son ready for investigation into father’s death

The son of the late President John Evans Attah Mills, Kofi Mills, says he is ready to champion any cause that will establish the cause of his father’s death.
“I am ready to champion any investigation into my father’s death,” he told journalists during the commemoration of the fifth anniversary of his father’s death at the Asomdwe Park in Accra Monday.
The death of Professor Atta Mills has been characterized by several conspiracy theories with some critics insinuating that the late law professor was deliberately killed by some members of the NDC.
He confirmed to the media that the family had not received any autopsy report on the death of his father, five years after of his demise.
Kofi Mills urged Ghanaians to take heart and continue to support the family to unravel the cause of his father’s death.
The memorial service was held on Monday at the Asomdwe Park to mark the 5 years of the departure of the late President John Evans Atta Mills, who passed on the 24th of July, 2012 at the 37 Military Hospital.
The ceremony was graced by former President John Dramani Mahama, former Veep, Amissah Arthur and other top officials of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mr Mahama said his former boss stood for many values of the party and the country as a whole.
