The Municipal Chief Executive for Atebubu-Amantin in the Bono East Region, Edward Owusu, has resigned from his position.
Additionally, the District Chief Executive for Biakoye in the Oti Region, Millicent Kabuki Carboo has also resigned.
The development was announced in a statement issued by the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development.
The reason for the resignation is however not immediately known.
The statement noted that, following their resignations, the respective Regional Ministers have been directed to act until substantive replacements are appointed by President Akufo-Addo.
The Ministry further expressed its appreciation to Mr Owusu and Madam Carboo for their dedicated service and contributions to the development of their respective assemblies.
