The Member of Parliament for Asutifi North in the Ahafo Region, Patrick Banor, has issued a warning to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) regarding their alleged plans to incite violence in the upcoming December elections.
In a report filed by Sammy Asare from Ntotroso, Banor issued the warning during a health walk organized by NPP members through Ntotroso, Gyedu, and Womanhinso.
Addressing the gathering, Banor disclosed that intelligence gathered suggested the NDC plans to disrupt voting in NPP strongholds using weapons such as guns and machetes, with the intention of discouraging voters.
He firmly cautioned the NDC against attempting such actions, assuring that security forces, including the police and military, would ensure peaceful voting and protect eligible voters.
Speaking on behalf of the regional executives, the Ahafo Regional Secretary, Nana Antwi Eric, urged NPP supporters in the Ntotroso Zone to support Banor in the parliamentary election.
He added that members in the zone must see the MP as their own and vote for him in the same manner they vote for the NPP in the presidential elections.
