The Member of Parliament (MP) for Asutifi North in the Ahafo Region, Patrick Banor, has taken a significant step to enhance security in his constituency by donating street lights to various electoral areas.
Through the MP’s Street Lights Project, Banor has distributed 1,000 street lights to electoral areas that are plagued by darkness, hoping to reduce crime rates in these regions.
In an interview with Adom News Reporter Sammy Asare at Kenyasi, the MP highlighted that the project aims to provide durable lighting solutions to communities that lack proper illumination.
He pointed out that the darkness in some areas has emboldened criminals to carry out activities such as mobile phone snatching, bag thefts, and other illegal acts, which have become a significant concern for residents.
Banor expressed his belief that installing these street lights will play a crucial role in deterring criminal activities and improving the overall safety and well-being of the people in his constituency.
