Asiedu Nketia, Koku Anyidoho do not make sense in politics – Obiri Boahen

Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Obiri Boahen has belittled the intelligence and scope of reasoning of the General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and his deputy.

He believes Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia and Koku Anyidoho no longer make sense in their political discourse, a situation that may compel him to quit politics and focus on concentrate on his profession as a lawyer.

On Kumasi-based Nhyira FM, he questioned if the two will ever make sense in their utterances stating he sometimes get frustrated by the way and manner they communicate on issues of national concern.

“Sometimes the behavior of Asiedu Nketia and Koku Anyidoho as Secretary and Deputy respectively make me want to quit politics and focus on my life as lawyer. Listen to them and you will understand they do not make sense in politics at all,” the outspoken Deputy Secretary said.

“Have they finished talking about the impunity in their party and that of the recent one of their Member of Parliament Kwabena Mintah Akando before accusing the President?” he asked.

“I am telling Asiedu Nketia to grow from his dirty and childish politics. He must act like his age. …he has been behaving like this from opposition to government and now back to opposition. …Enough is enough. …Tell him.”

On an attempt by the NDC to politicize the death of Captain Maxwell Adam Mahama, he said the NPP is more focused and will not engage themselves in responding to “frustrating driven press conferences” of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to him, the recent press conference held and addressed by the NDC General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia accusing President Akufo-Addo of presiding under impunity is “laughable, mischievous and should be treated with the contempt it deserves.”
