The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has described the re-collation and re-declaration of election results at the Tesano Police Training School as illegal.
According to Mr. Nketia, the Electoral Commission (EC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are taking advantage of the NDC’s silence to engage in what he termed as acts of “impunity.”
He cautioned that those supporting the ongoing process should be prepared for the consequences.
“No consensus has been reached on what is happening,” he stated.
Mr. Nketia added that, the NDC’s decision to refrain from media engagements was to avoid sparking election-related tensions.
He emphasized the party’s commitment to peaceful resolution but warned against unlawful actions that could undermine the integrity of the electoral process.
