Asempa FM’s O.B. hails Esther Smith as G.O.A.T of Ghana’s gospel music industry

Philip Osei Bonsu, known as O.B., the host of Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme has crowned renowned gospel musician, Esther Smith as the “Greatest of All Time” (GOAT) in Ghana’s gospel music industry.

During a recent interview on Asempa FM, O.B. lauded Esther Smith for her exceptional contributions to gospel music in Ghana.

He emphasized her remarkable achievements and consistent success over the years.

“I’ve said it before, and I stand by it: when it comes to the gospel industry in Ghana, Esther Smith is the Greatest of All Time (GOAT). This is a title you should wear with pride because you’ve truly earned it,” O.B. declared during the interview.

He further highlighted Esther Smith’s impressive discography, noting her nine albums, with nearly every song from each album becoming a hit.

“You have nine albums, and almost every song on each of those albums has been a hit. This is a crown you should proudly wear,” he added.

In response, Esther Smith took a humble approach, expressing that she prefers to focus on the impact of her music rather than titles.

“I try to remain modest about such accolades because they can sometimes lead to jealousy. What’s important to me is that my songs touch hearts and inspire people. That’s my priority,” she said.

O.B. defended his praise, affirming that Esther Smith has earned the recognition through her hard work.

“When someone has put in the work, they deserve to be celebrated. Esther Smith, you’ve worked diligently, and there’s a substantial body of evidence to support this. You deserve all the accolades you receive,” he said.

With a career spanning over two decades, Esther Smith has significantly influenced the Ghanaian gospel music scene with her powerful vocals and inspiring lyrics. Her music has garnered numerous awards and accolades both locally and internationally.

Esther Smith is set to hold a concert at the Perez Dome on Friday at 5 p.m. She has assured fans that she is ready to deliver an unforgettable performance in Accra and has encouraged them to come out and support her.

“I’m ready to give it my all and uplift the spirits of everyone present,” she promised.

The concert is expected to be a night of worship, praise, and inspiration, featuring Esther Smith’s powerful voice and captivating stage presence.

Tickets are available at various prices: GH₵50 for single tickets, GH₵90 for double tickets, and GH₵150 for VIP tickets.
