Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has called on political parties to build trust in the Electoral Commission(EC) as preparation for the December 7 election unfolds.
He has, however, acknowledged the need for vigilance among political parties contesting the elections.
The calls come as the National Democratic Congress(NDC) prepares to embark on a nationwide strike in demand of a forensic audit of the voter register.
Addressing members of the Ghana Bar Association(GBA) at a dinner at the Manhyia Palace, Otumfuo observed the EC has over the years delivered on its mandate.
The Asantehene indicated his belief in Ghanaians to use the democratic system when there is need for a change in government.
