Asante Kotoko has confirmed the signing of defender Michael Sefah on a one-and-a-half-year contract.
The 29-year-old joined the Porcupine Warriors from lower-division side Port City FC on transfer deadline day.
The centre-back, who can also operate as a defensive midfielder, has previously played for Liberty Professionals and Medeama Sporting Club, where he gained valuable top-flight experience.
Asante Kotoko coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum expressed his satisfaction with the signing of the defender.
“Michael is a fantastic addition to our team. His ability to play both as a centre-back and in defensive midfield gives us great tactical flexibility,” he told the club’s media.
“He completes our centre-back options, as we previously had only three senior ones in Ablorh, Samba, and Ansu.
“Michael’s arrival not only strengthens our defense but also provides leadership and stability, which will be crucial as we compete on multiple fronts,” he added.
Sefah is known for his composure, strength, and ability to read the game, making him a solid addition to the Kotoko squad.
