Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has urged his players to exercise caution ahead of their match against Legon Cities.
The Porcupine Warriors are set to face The Royals in a rescheduled fixture tonight at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, as part of the ongoing 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
Kotoko, aiming to extend their winning streak, were held to a 1-1 draw by Basake Holy Stars during Matchday 8 over the weekend.
Despite Legon Cities’ struggles at the bottom of the league table, Narteh Ogum emphasized the need for his players to remain focused and not underestimate their opponents.
“He who is down fears no fall.” Given where Legon Cities are now, they’re not in a good position and will want to use this opportunity to revamp their hopes in the league,” he said.
“I’m sure they’ll come in with determination, effort, and a strong desire to play well and get maximum points. So, we have to be very careful, stay focused, avoid complacency, and ensure that tactically we take advantage of their weaknesses,” he added.
The match is set to kick off at 19:00 GMT.
