Three police officers have been interdicted after they allegedly beat up a man to death in the Asante Akyem South District of the Ashanti region.
They have been handed over to the Police Intelligence and Professional Standard Bureau for investigations.
A statement from the police Command said it had recommended, as part of the investigation, “the interdiction of three officers, namely General Sergeant Suleman Seidu, General Corporal Seth Agbango and General Lance Corporal Salifu Yakubu.”

The Command said: “In all nine officers embarked on the operation but three of the officers have been implicated having taken active part in the incident, hence their interdiction.
“The Command has also tasked the Regional Police Professional Standards Bureau to also institute an internal administrative investigation into the conduct of the officers and report,” a statement from the police said.

The deceased was a 33-year-old driver, Kofi Ampoma, popularly known as ‘Barluso’ who passed on at Adomfe on Tuesday.
