Asante Akyem Central gets renovated fire service station and social welfare office

-

The Asante Akyem Central Municipality now boasts a fully renovated Fire Service Station and Social Welfare Office, thanks to an initiative led by outgoing Municipal Chief Executive Officer (MCE) Robert Yaw Kwakye and Member of Parliament (MP) Hon. Anyimadu Antwi, who also serves as the Board Chairman for the National Fire Service.

This project was part of their commitments to the constituency during their tenure.

Speaking on behalf of the MP, the MCE, Robert Yaw Kwakye, explained the purpose of the renovation:

“This project was one of several initiatives aimed at creating a conducive working environment for workers in the constituency to promote development,” he stated.

The Asante Akyem Central Municipality, located in the eastern part of the Ashanti Region, is one of 43 districts in the region. Originally established in 1988 as the first Asante Akyem North district, it has Konongo as its capital.

The renovated facilities are expected to improve the operational efficiency of the Fire Service and enhance the delivery of social welfare services in the constituency.
