Ghana international Thomas Partey marked a significant milestone by making his 100th Premier League appearance in Arsenal’s 2-2 draw against Manchester City.
The midfielder was named in the starting lineup at the Etihad Stadium and played a crucial role in helping Mikel Arteta’s side secure a point against the reigning champions.
Partey’s 100th league game came against the same team he debuted against in October 2020, following his transfer from Atletico Madrid.
Over the course of his Premier League career, the 30-year-old has scored six goals and provided three assists. One of his standout moments was a stunning strike in the north London derby against Tottenham in October 2022, which was a runner-up for Arsenal’s Goal of the Season.
Last month, Partey found the net against Aston Villa, his first goal since the dramatic 3-2 win over Bournemouth in March 2023.
In total, he has made 120 appearances for Arsenal, with both his 50th and 100th appearances for the club also coincidentally coming against Manchester City.
In addition to this milestone, Partey has now made 300 league appearances in his career, having previously played 200 games in Spain’s La Liga and La Liga B with Real Mallorca, Almeria, and Atletico Madrid.
As Partey enters the final year of his contract with Arsenal, speculation surrounds his future, with Juventus, Atletico Madrid, and Barcelona reportedly interested in signing him next summer.
