The Ashanti Regional Public Relations Officer for the aggrieved customers of Menzgold, Baffour Amankwah, has called for the arrest of directors, management and board members of the gold dealership firm since the government failed to bring back the company’s CEO, Nana Appiah Mensah (NAM 1) from Dubai.
He said the directors and management of the embattled company have questions to answer on their locked-up investments.
“We’re calling for the arrest of the board of directors and all management of the company,” Mr. Amankwah said, adding that: “It’s not only NAM 1 who should be arrested”.

He also called for the arrest of NAM1’s family members who played a role in the company especially, his sister, Abigail.
Mr. Amankwah said this in an interview with Class News’ Ashanti regional correspondent Elisha Adarkwah in Kumasi when he accompanied some customers of the company to support their colleague customers who appeared before the Asokore Mampong District Court on Tuesday, 22 January 2019 for flouting the public order act.
He wondered why police have not been able to arrest the directors and the management of Menzgold.

Menzgold has not been able to pay its several thousands of clients their extra values and principals since August last year after Ghana’s Securities and Exchange Commission shut the company down over regulatory infractions.
Aggrieved customers have been staging series of protest to get their locked-up monies back but all their efforts have proved futile so far.
