Ghana Premier League side, Aduana Stars is set to rehire Cioaba Aristica as head coach.
This move marks Cioaba’s third appointment with the club, having previously managed Aduana in 2011 and 2016.
Cioaba will take over from Yaw Acheampong, who was dismissed following a string of unsatisfactory performances in the current 2024/25 season.
Aduana has struggled this season, securing only two victories, four losses, and six draws, placing them 13th on the league table as play resumes this weekend.
The 54-year-old Romanian coach arrived in Ghana on Tuesday, December 10, and was welcomed by club officials in preparation for his formal appointment.
Cioaba’s first tenure with Aduana began in 2011, succeeding the late Herbert Addo.
His second spell in the 2015/16 season saw the team achieve a strong second-place finish in the league.
Cioaba’s extensive coaching background includes time at Tanzanian club Azam FC and more recently, managing Police FC in the Bangladesh Premier League.
His return is anticipated to inject valuable experience into Aduana’s campaign.
Cioaba Aristica is expected to lead the side when Aduana Stars travel to play Berekum Chelsea in the Matchday 13 games at the Golden City Park.
