Arhinful shares different opinion on Black Stars assistant coach sack

Former Ghana international, Augustine Arhinful, has expressed his dissatisfaction over Maxwell Konadu’s removal as the assistant coach of the Black Stars.

Reacting to the news on Asempa FM, Arhinful said it wasn’t wrong for a head coach to appoint many coaches to assist him hence the augment that Kwesi Appiah’s assistants are too many is neither here nor there.

“When it comes to assistants in coaching, you can even have ten assistants, not all assistant coaches stand beside the head coach on the touchline, you could also have people in the stands who are monitoring the game for you,” noted.

According to the former Boavista FC player, the handlers of the senior national team should have waited for Ghana to finish playing the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualifiers before coming out with such a decision.

“This is our last qualifier so in my own wisdom, why couldn’t they wait for this game before such a decision,” he quizzed.

According to reports
Maxwell Konadu’s position will be taken by Dramani Mas-Ud Didi who is the
assistant coach of Danish side, Nordsjaelland.
