The Appointments Committee of Parliament is set to begin vetting ministerial nominees selected by President John Dramani Mahama.
The vetting sessions will run from Thursday, January 23, to Monday, January 27, 2025, starting at 8:30 a.m. daily. Proceedings will take place in Committee Rooms 1, 2, and 3 of the New Administration Block.
In a memorandum to the Dean of the Parliamentary Press Corps, the Director of Media Relations has called for comprehensive media coverage of the event to ensure transparency.
The vetting process will assess the qualifications, experience, and suitability of nominees for regional ministerial and other key government positions.
This exercise underscores Parliament’s commitment to accountability and upholding constitutional responsibilities in the selection of public officials.
