Valentine’s Day is often associated with chocolates, flowers and romantic gestures, but for the children at the Korle Bu Child Health Department, February 14, 2025, became a reminder that humanity still cares.
The Apostolic Empowerment Ministries, led by Pastor Selasie Addae, in collaboration with the Tima Kumkum Foundation brought smiles to the little faces battling health challenges with a thoughtful donation.
Some items donated included water, range of toiletries, fan, diapers, gloves, health equipment and essential items to help improve the affairs of the Child Health Department of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
The donation also saw the team settle the medical bills of some children whose parents were unable to afford their treatment costs.
The leader and founder of the Apostolic Empowerment Ministries, Pastor Selasie Addae, revealed that this act of kindness has been a consistent tradition for the past 15 years.
This year, the church partnered with the Tima Kumkum Foundation to broaden the impact of their outreach.
The Tima Kumkum Foundation, known for its charitable works and support for underprivileged individuals, expressed its excitement about the collaboration and pledged to continue supporting similar initiatives in the future.
Hospital authorities and parents of the beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the gesture, describing it as a timely intervention that brought relief to families struggling with medical expenses.
The event ended with smiles and words of encouragement for the young patients, as both organizations reiterated their commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
