In a powerful call to action, Apostle Sylvester Agyemang of the Apostles’ Continuation Church International, Dansoman District, has emphasised the crucial role of parents, especially women, in training their children in the ways of God.
Speaking at the 2024 Barrier Women’s Convention in Accra, Apostle Agyemang stressed that, the values instilled by parents will shape the future conduct of their children, influencing their development into responsible and spiritually grounded adults.
“The foundation laid today will determine whether the youth grow into virtuous leaders in the future,” he warned.
“Women, as primary caregivers, have the responsibility to guide their children towards a Godly life, imparting knowledge of right and wrong.”
The Women’s Leader, Grace Darko, echoed this sentiment, urging women to counsel their children and promote peace and unity, particularly as the nation approaches elections.
“As mothers, we have the power to shape the next generation,” she said.
“Let us use this influence to raise children who will be beacons of hope and light in a world filled with darkness.”
The annual Women’s Convention, themed: “Impacting Societies with Christ in Us” (Matthew 5:14), aims to empower women to demonstrate and showcase their talents, aligning with the church’s mission to win more souls to Christ, preach the word of God, and empower women.
This year’s event was a clarion call to parents to take their responsibility as spiritual mentors seriously, ensuring that their children grow into virtuous leaders who will impact society for good.
