The National Sports Authority (NSA) has issued a stern warning that any individual or group who displays political materials or engage in political protests during the upcoming Black Stars match against Sudan will be arrested.
This announcement follows reports that certain groups plan to use the event as a platform for protests, particularly against illegal mining (galamsey) and the government.
The NSA reminded the public that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) prohibits political displays at sports events.
The Authority stressed that security forces will be deployed in and around the Accra Sports Stadium to enforce this rule.
Fans attending the game are urged to comply with all match-day security regulations to avoid arrest or penalties.
The Authority emphasized the need to maintain the focus on football and prevent any political agenda from overshadowing the event.
