Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has denied being the source of Patrick Marcelino’s pictures.
Social media got awash with the Brazilian Dutch model’s pictures following threats by the lawmaker to unmask Ghanaian investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, whom he has described as “evil, corrupt, wicked, thief, and blackmailer”.
Mr Agyapong’s denial as being the source of the pictures follows threats by Marcelino to take all the necessary “legal steps” to remedy the “very bad situation” he said the Ghanaian lawmaker had put him in.

He said on Adom FM’s ‘Dwaso Nsem’ on Monday, 4 June 2018 that Anas was the one who released Marcelino’s pictures to create a clutter and confuse the public as part of his efforts to conceal his true identity, which he (Kennedy Agyapong) had splashed on social media.
“I didn’t release that picture; it is Anas who released that picture. I released two of Anas’ pictures. In one he was wearing a hat and in the other he had a beard. The picture I released of him in a hat was when he was negotiating with a state attorney to kill a case,” Mr Agyapong alleged.
The lawmaker has launched scathing attacks on Anas and has vowed to expose him as a corrupt journalist who takes bribe to kill stories and entraps his victims to tarnish their image.
The attacks began shortly after Anas announced he would premiere his latest undercover documentary which he did with the BBC concerning corruption in Ghana’s football.
The video will be premiered on Wednesday, 6 June 2018.
