Mr Dumelo was elected as the NDC’s parliamentary candidate for the constituency with 758 votes and is hoping to win the seat currently occupied by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the past years.
With his stardom and youthful exuberance, the actor is convinced he will win the hearts of constituents majority of whom are the youth.

The former NDC Central regional chairman said though Mr Dumelo is a “magnet and can pull people along” he needs to work extra hard to win the seat in the 2020 general election.
This notwithstanding, Mr Jacobs, commended the actor for his bravery and urged him to put in more efforts to win the seat for the NDC.
