All you need to know about Strongman, Medikal’s beef songs that have got social media buzzing

Social media has been flooded with arguments about the rap feud between AMG’s rapper Medikal and ex-Sarkcess record label rapper Strongman.

Medikal released ‘To Whom It May Concern’ on June 21, 2019, a rap song many easily deciphered as a Strongman diss because the latter appeared on Adom FM’s Kasahari show and took on Medikal for claiming he saved rap in Ghana’s music industry.

Medikal fires Strongman

Strongman said he couldn’t fathom why Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Board failed to nominate him for ‘Best Rapper of the Year’ after he released his STN EP, an ‘album’ he knew would’ve crowned him the ‘Best Rapper of the Year’ and not Medikal.

He further asked Medikal to stop bragging because he has been in the industry long before him. (below)

Medikal, who didn’t take the matter lightly, verbally attacked Strongman in his song and asked him to “draw a line” between them.

According to the ‘Omo Ada’ hitmaker, he has for the past four years saved the rap industry and asked the ‘Transformer’ hitmaker to “burn the sea” if he cannot take that.

Medikal’s song went on to address many instances in Strongman’s career including his exit from Sarkodie’s Sarkcess Music Label.

“Don’t let your followers deceive you.., I save the game for four years… if you don’t understand burn the sea. [You claim] Hot MC but you support your team from the bench…One award and you don’t let me sleep. I don’t want your beef… my girlfriend has hit songs than you,” some of Medikal’s lyrics read.

Strongman’s ‘Don’t Try’ song, which was released on Saturday, June 22, 2019 didn’t require any music god to point fingers at Medikal as the lyrics gave him up.

The ex-Sarkcess rapper called himself a senior in the rap industry. He again claimed Medikal wouldn’t have hit songs if not for controversies he created to stay relevant in the industry.

“Over seven years in the game… rap is my calling… controversies gave you hits and the women helped you… your rap is weak, let me show you high grade,” some parts of his lyrics pointed out. (below)

Social media fans have not slept on the issues and have since debated over who the rap god is.

Some celebrities have also subtly joined the wave to announce who they think won the battle.

Accra based Hitz FM also created a poll on its Facebook page concerning the rap feud and these were what some people had to say:
