Renowned football administrator, Alhaji Karim Grusah has backed the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) chairman, Kudjoe Fianoo’s call to impeach the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku.

In an interview with Oyerepa FM, Mr. Fianoo announced his intention to initiate the process to remove Mr. Okraku from office, citing the disappointing performance of the Black Stars as the main reason.

Ghana’s national team is currently at risk of failing to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) for the first time in two decades, having earned only two points from four matches.

“The situation at the GFA is untenable, and a change in leadership is imperative. Alongside GHALCA, I will spearhead an impeachment process against Kurt Okraku to ensure our football governance returns to a path of integrity and accountability” said Fianoo.

In support, Alhaji Grusah, owner and financier of King Faisal, echoed Fianoo’s sentiments in an interview on Asempa FM’s “Sports Nite.”

He expressed concern over the lack of transparency in Ghana football, attributing it to the recent decline in the performance of the senior national team, the Black Stars.
