Alan Kyerematen promises salaries for ‘Makaranta’ teachers if elected in 2024

-

The founder and leader of the Movement for Change, Alan Kyerematen has promised to implement significant reforms to enhance the lives of Zongo communities if elected.

One major initiative for him will be to integrate Arabic school teachers into the Ghana Education Service to ensure they receive regular salaries.

Additionally, Alan Kyerematen has vowed to enroll Makaranta teachers onto government salary scheme should he become president.

“It’s unfortunate, Makaranta teachers are not considered as part of the Ghana Education Service,  because teachers are teachers all over the world. I have also committed that when I become president, we will, make sure to integrate Makranta teachers into the GES.”

At the launch of Zumunta, the Zongo wing of his party, Kyerematen criticized both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for neglecting Zongo communities despite their electoral support.

During his visit to Darkuman in the Ablekuma North constituency, Kyerematen met a large crowd and engaged with local leaders, including chiefs and imams, to rally support for his presidential campaign.
